ザ・シスターズハイ
2020年4月結成。
轟音とエキセントリックなアプローチでゴキゲンなサウンドをかき鳴らす、新潟発4ピースロックバンド 『ザ・シスターズハイ』
パンクやオルタナティブを軸にしながら、ひねくれたポップ感覚と遊び心を同居させた楽曲は、荒々しくもキャッチーで、一度聴けば耳を離さない中毒性を放つ。
渡邉九歳のリリックは、日常の矛盾や人間の弱さを時にユーモラスに、時にグロテスクなまでに剥き出しにする。痛みと笑いが同居するその言葉は、単なる共感を超えて聴き手の心をえぐり、同時に解放へと導いていく。轟音に包まれながらもふと差し込むメロディの煌めきと、リアルな言葉の温度。その掛け合わせこそが、ザ・シスターズハイの真骨頂である。
2024年6月には、タワレコメンにも選出されたEP『超才開Twinkる』をリリースし、新宿LOFTをファイナルとする全国19箇所ツアーを成功させた。さらに「FREEDOM NAGOYA 2024」「COMING KOBE24」といった大型フェスへも初出演し、オーバーグラウンドにも確実に響く存在感を示した。
その後もシングル『シン・臨界Nerdる』の制作に取り組み、2025年1月からは全国6都市を巡る「NERD SAVE THE WORLD TOUR 2025」を開催。ファイナルとなる渋谷CLUB QUATTROでのワンマン公演を大成功に収めたほか、バンド同士の“兄弟関係”を築くことをテーマにした自主企画「N曜日の姉妹」を仙台・広島・神戸・名古屋・東京で発表するなど、シーンに新たなムーブメントを起こし続けている。
そして2025年9月26日(金)、新曲『ネタ』をデジタルリリース。これを記念して全国10箇所を巡る「君の嫌いに、嫌われたい tour 2025」を開催。12月の新代田FEVER公演では、『ネタ』のMVに出演した舘野忠臣（“赤ちゃん”）が所属するお笑いコンビ「ネコニスズ」との異色対バンも決定しており、音楽とカルチャーを横断する仕掛けも話題を集めている。
爆音の熱狂と鋭利なリリック、そしてポップな中毒性を兼ね備えたザ・シスターズハイ。
彼らの音楽は、聴く者を“どうしようもなくハイにさせる”新世代の衝動であり、これからのロックシーンを大きく揺さぶる存在となるだろう。
The Sisters High – Profile
The Sisters High is a four-piece rock band from Niigata, Japan, unleashing a euphoric sound built on roaring guitars and eccentric approaches. Rooted in punk and alternative rock, their music blends twisted pop sensibilities with playful experimentation, resulting in songs that are raw yet irresistibly catchy—once heard, they refuse to leave your head.
Watanabe Kusai’s lyrics expose the contradictions of everyday life and the fragility of human nature—sometimes humorous, sometimes grotesquely raw. His words coexist with both pain and laughter, cutting deeper than simple relatability while simultaneously offering a sense of release. Wrapped in walls of sound yet illuminated by sudden flashes of melody, the band’s music captures both harsh reality and fragile warmth. This interplay is the very essence of The Sisters High.
In June 2024, they released their EP Chōsaikai Twink-ru, which was selected for Tower Records’ “TOWER RECORDS RECOMMENDS (Tawarekomen),” followed by a successful 19-date nationwide tour culminating at Shinjuku LOFT. The band also made their debut appearances at major festivals such as FREEDOM NAGOYA 2024 and COMING KOBE 24, firmly establishing their presence beyond the underground scene.
They continued to build momentum with the single Shin Rinkai Nerd-ru, and in January 2025 embarked on the six-city “NERD SAVE THE WORLD TOUR 2025,” culminating in a triumphant one-man show at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO. Alongside this, they launched their own event series N-yōbi no Shimai (Sister Sundays) in Sendai, Hiroshima, Kobe, Nagoya, and Tokyo, promoting a theme of “brotherhood between bands” and sparking a new movement within the scene.
On September 26, 2025, they will digitally release their latest single Neta. To celebrate, the band is embarking on a 10-date nationwide tour titled Kimi no Kirai ni, Kirawaretai Tour 2025. At their December show at Shindaita FEVER, they will be joined by the comedy duo “Nekonisuzu,” who starred in the Neta music video—an unexpected collaboration that crosses the boundaries of music and comedy, sure to generate further buzz.
With their explosive sound, razor-sharp lyrics, and addictive pop appeal, The Sisters High deliver a new generation of raw energy—music that makes listeners unavoidably “high.” They are poised to shake the future of the Japanese rock scene in a big way.
